G&W Clubshares, Inc. was incorporated in February 2001, with an authorized capitalization of P10 million. The company was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Licensed Broker/Dealer of Securities under SEC Certification No. A200017597 on February 22, 2001. Golf and country clubs gained tremendous popularity and growth in early 90's, resulting to a large number of international-standard golf courses built overnight, alongside country clubs, to complement high-end residential developments and resorts. Initial shares and memberships were sold by the developers directly to investors and would-be members. But as the industry matured, more and more shares were starting to trade in the secondary (pre-owned) market. Trading of shares is a long and tedious process requiring the assistance of an expert - the broker. This particular need, challenging and lucrative, gave birth to G&W Clubshares, Inc.
Over the years, G&W Clubshares has developed extensive network with major players in the industry -- the clubs, developers, brokers and traders, club shareholders, the leisure industry, and most of all the satisfied clientele. To date, G&W Clubshares is the largest organization focused on trading of club shares, with 25 full-time proficient clubshare consultants, complemented by a team of 15 highly-skilled support staff. An average of 50 shares are traded every month. That's over 3,000 shares and 6,000 clients in its eight years of operation.
